About this episode

The Christian Health Club

Can you imagine being a health-conscious doctor who eats a whole foods diet, exercises regularly, has normal labs (blood sugar, cholesterol and CAC score all good) and has a widowmaker heart attack at age 34?? That's what happened to my guest on the podcast this week. Dr. Stephen Hussey had a widow maker heart attack out of the blue. Yes, he was managing Type 1 diabetes which put him at a higher risk, but he had been managing that well for a long time. It got him asking questions, especially after the advice and information he received in the hospital that did not reflect what the real research says. He was recommended eight medications in the hospital and told he'd be on five of them for the rest of his life. He takes none of them. In this week's episode we're challenging the conventional heart health narrative - from the role of statins to the fear around red meat and cholesterol - and take a deeper look at what actually supports a strong, resilient heart. You'll learn why light, circadian rhythm, and your environment may matter more than you think, and how returning to the foundations of how God designed your body to live can shift everything. ✝️ Join The Christian Health Club 📩 Get on my Sunday Sendout List to receive all of my best tips and information! 📲 Check out my website for access to recipes, The Christian Health Club Podcast, free guides, and more! We start June 1st! It's all about Biblical foundations like, circadian health, hormones, mitochondria and God's original design. It's a simple yet powerful approach to restoring balance by aligning with the foundations God established at Creation. We'll walk through the essential elements of well-being—water, sunlight, grounding, real food, breath, sleep, and movement—rooted in both Scripture and science. www.thechristiannutritionist.com
