Where Your True Value Is Found | Psalm 84

Psalm 84 reminds us that true value and purpose are not found in achievement, recognition, or worldly success, but in being close to God and serving Him faithfully. The psalmist declares, "I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness." In other words, even the smallest role in God's presence is more meaningful than the greatest position apart from Him. We often chase more—more success, more influence, more accomplishment—thinking those things will finally make us feel valuable. But real contentment is found when we are walking closely with God and faithfully doing the work He has placed in front of us. When we live in His presence, serve others, and reflect His character to the world around us, we are exactly where we were created to be.
