Psalm 73 speaks honestly about a struggle many believers face: watching people who reject God seem to prosper while those trying to live faithfully continue to face hardship. The psalmist admits, "My feet were almost gone… for I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked." Left unchecked, comparison and envy can shake our faith and distort our perspective. But everything changes when the psalmist enters "the sanctuary of God." In God's presence, he begins to see beyond temporary success and understand the eternal reality. This psalm reminds us not to measure life only by what we can see in the moment. God is just, and He sees the full picture. Rather than becoming consumed by what others appear to gain, we are called to stay focused on our relationship with God, trusting Him to handle what is beyond our control.
