About this episode
There are moments in life when everything feels like too much—when the weight of circumstances, stress, and uncertainty begins to overwhelm our hearts. Psalm 61:2 gives us a powerful response for those moments: "When my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I." The psalmist doesn't pretend the overwhelm isn't real—he acknowledges it—but he also knows where to go in response. He turns to God, the One who is steady, unshaken, and higher than anything we face. When life feels out of control, we don't need to rely on our own strength—we need to be led back to God. He has been our shelter, our protection, and our provider before, and He will be again. In the middle of overwhelm, let your prayer be simple: God, bring me back to You.
